LKBEN11737: How to check if BIOS virtualisation is enabled on HP systems from within windows powershell.


Symptom

You get a message on the screen that your virtualisation is disabled.

Cause

-

Solution

This will only work on certain HP systems.

Please try the following command:

Get-WmiObject -Namespace root/hp/instrumentedBIOS -Class hp_biosEnumeration|Select-Object Name, currentvalue|findstr /i "vt"

The output should be something like:

Virtualization Technology (VTx)                                                   Enable
Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VTd)                                  Enable
