LKBEN11555: Citrix published application window stays black or flickers on windows 10 client.

Symptom

You have a Dual-Monitor configuration and part or the whole application window is black.

Cause

Different or high DPI settings, most of the time one of the monitors is a 4K monitor.

Solution

Check if you have any active sessions. This can be done with the citrix trayicon and open the citrix connection center. You need to logoff all sessions and exit the citrix receiver.

With your explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\

Locate wfica32.exe and right-click -> properties -> compatibility -> change high DPI Setting -> if needed, you will be asked for administrative right -> check the override high DPI scaling behavior and make sure the "application" option is selected.

Locate wfcrun32.exe and right-click -> properties -> compatibility -> change high DPI Setting -> if needed, you will be asked for administrative right -> check the override high DPI scaling behavior and make sure the "application" option is selected.

Test if your application is shown the way it should be. If you are using Citrix Receiver 4.10 or higher, this problem should not occur because the application is DPI scaling aware.

Have fun.
