LKBEN11514: You need to delete a shortcut from the desktop with a powershell script

You want to delete a link (*.lnk) file but need to check if it exists first

Sometimes needed for software distribution

This can be done with the following script:

##this will check for a file and delete it if present

$fileToCheck = "C:\Users\Public\Desktop\Acrobat Reader DC.lnk"

if(test-path $fileToCheck -PathType leaf)
 remove-item -Path $fileToCheck

Have fun.
