LKBEN11709: How to ping an ip address with ipv6 on Windows?

Symptom

You need to ping a server to check the ipv6 connection.

Cause

-

Solution

On Windows, you can use the same tool to ping an ipv4 or an ipv6 server. You just need to add a parameter which default to ipv4.

#ping your own client (link local)
ping -6 localhost

#ping an ipv6 server
ping -6 servername

#ping the same server with a FQDN
ping -6 servername.domainname.com

Hope this helps.
