LKBEN11522: Howto get the version of your powershell

Symptom

You want to know the version of the powershell you are using

Cause

Important to know because the functionality depends on it

Solution

To find the version of your powershell you can use the Get-Host command.

Get-Host

This will give you more than just the version. If you only need the version of the powershell you can use Select-Object to just get the version like this:

Get-Host | Select-Object Version

At the time of writing, the version 7 is the most recent one.

Have fun.
