LKBEN11520: Copy a file to a destination with powershell


Symptom

You need to copy a single file from A to B

Cause

Often needed for automation

Solution

To copy a single file, you use the Copy-File command.

Here is a simple example:

## The targetdir needs to exist!
$testDir = "C:\program files\targetdir"
Copy-File -Path 'C:\temp\testclient.exe' -Destination $testDir
