LKBEN11508: Veeam Backup error: Unable to allocate processing resources. On-host proxy [HOST IP] requires upgrade before it can be used.

Symptom

Error in the Veeam Console! We moved the VM from one server to another server.

Cause

Must have to be something with moving the vm from on host to the other hyper-v host.

Solution

Your Veeam Backup does not work anymore. You get the following error message:

Unable to allocate processing resources. Error: On-host proxy [HOST IP] requires upgrade before it can be used.

Rebooting the Veeam Server and the new HyperV Server did not solve the problem.

Manually restart the following services on the Veeam Server did the job.

  1. Stop and start of "Veeam Backup Service"
  2. Start and stop of "Veeam Broker Service"

Thereafter the backup could be made with no errors.

If this does not work, please check the HyperV server.

Have fun.
