LKBEN11004: Howto delete all newlines with vi in command mode


Symptom

You need to delete newlines

Cause

none

Solution

You are using vi and need to delete newlines. Type the following in the command mode:

:%s/\n//g

If you need to delete all newlines with Summary on the next line and replace it with , (=comma) you can use the following:

:%s/\nSummary/,/g
