LKBEN10940: Domain extention local delivers problems with DNS

Symptom

We introduced a something.local domain but cannot ping any host in the local domain.

Cause

By design, local domains use Zeroconf

Solution

The clients in a local domain follow the convention of zeroconf. DNS will be done by multicast channels instead of a dns server.

You can configure your system not to use this convention by modifying resolv.conf.
