LKBEN10563: Howto search in Active Directory with a user defined ldap search for groups with a known string in the middle.

Symptom

We do not find the groups because the search interface has none standard built in for this kind of searches.

Cause

This is by design.

Solution

It is always possible to use the user defined ldap search. Here you will have to write real ldap syntax. The solution for this problem is the following:

(&(objectClass=group)(cn=*alle*)) //this will find all the groups with alle in the middle of the groupname
