Symptom

You do now know where to start.

Cause

You want to start programming in rust.

Solution

Here we will install rust with brew. You need to have brew installed first!

To install rust on your mac use the followig brew command:

brew install rustup

When this is installed, you can use

rustup-init

You need to select "proceed with installation" and start a new shell to test your installation with:

rustc --version

and

cargo --version

Do not forget to use a new shell to reload the environment so the path to the binaries is found.

Have fun.
