LKBEN11383: Kubuntu problem with dual screen. Screens are always duplicated (mirrored)
LKB | Created: 07/09/2020 | Version: 0 | Language: EN | Rating: 0 | Outdated: False | Marked for deletion: False
Author: Wim Peeters - Keskon GmbH & Co. KG
Symptom
You change your configuration but the screen is always mirrored
Cause
Most of the time this happens when you boot with one screen in the off status
Solution
You need to delete the following file in your home directory:
.local/share/kscreen
This file should be deleted and afterwards you can reconfigure. After the reconfiguration, the settings will be correct and stay after reboot.
Please note that this solution is probably "Kubuntu version" specific.
