Symptom
You need to create a MD5 hash wich can be used as password
Cause
none
Solution
To generate an md5 hash you can use the md5sum command. e.g.
echo -n newpassword | md5sum
This will generate an md5 hash for newpassword. Please note the -n which will send newpassword without newline to md5sum. Otherwise it will not be the same and will not work.
The generated password can be used for a glassfish JDBCrealm. Such a realm used jdbc to query the user password.
