LKBEN11182: Howto remove a git repository


Symptom

You made a git repository and want to get rid of it.

Cause

none

Solution

If you want to remove the repository by keeping the working directory then you can use the following

command:

rm -rf .git

Make sure your backup is up to date before using this command! Please note the -f in the parameter.

It is needed to force the deletion of the files. Make shure you know what you are doing, you are

deleting your versioning system for this project!
