Symptom
You want to search the internet but only want to have certain filetypes as return
Cause
Better searching
Solution
In the google search you can specify the filetype you would like to have in your results. This can be easily done by just adding the word "filetype" followed by a colon and the filetype.
e.g. The following will search for the words "netbeans", "visual" and "web" and deliver the pdf files:
filetype:pdf netbeans visual web
This will search for powerpoint files containing the same words:
filetype:ppt netbeans visual web
