Symptom
You have more than one domain in your network and you need to set the default for logon
Cause
This is by design
Solution
To set the default domain on a server you need to change the registry.
- start regedit.exe
- go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
- Set the value of DefaultDomainName to the preferred domain
Now logon from the client to check your new settings.
