Symptom

Driver error code 39.

Cause

Solution

To resolve the problem:

  1. Open the registry (regedit.exe)
  2. Go to the section
    "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}"
  3.  Delete the keys "LowerFilter" and "UpperFilter"
  4. Open the DeviceManager and go to the CD/DVD
  5. Uninstall the Driver
  6. Reboot the system

Next start the driver will be installed automatic and will work fine.
