LKBEN10884: How to delete the shortcuts link-arrows under Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008

Symptom

You want to change the view of the shotcuts

Cause

Solution

Note: You dont have to delete the link-arrow. You should make them transparend

Steps:

Open the registry (regedit.exe)
navigate to: "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Schell Icons"
Create an entry "29" (REG_SZ) with the value "C:\Windows\system32\imageres.dll.-119"
Reboot the system
