Symptom
You need to add an application to the start menu.
Cause
You want to add a specific application permanently to the start menu.
Solution
Windows is providing the entrys of the start menu based on the frequency of utilization. Therefore the order of the programs is changing often.
To be sure that a specific program is in the list, just rightclick on the desired application and select "Pin to start menu" from the properties. Now the program is permantly fixed to the start menu. To release the application just rightclick and select "Unpin from start menu" for the properties.
