LKB | Created: 02/04/2020 | Version: 0 | Language: EN | Rating: 0 | Outdated: False | Marked for deletion: False
Author: Wim Peeters - Keskon GmbH & Co. KG
Symptom
Splashscreen appears and you receive an errormessage like "could not find mailfile" and Outlook closes
Cause
Outlook-Profile is defective or mailfile has been moved
Solution
Since you're only able to configure your Exchange - Mailfile INSIDE your Outlook, this is a deadlock situation.
You can start Outlook from the commandline with a parameter (open CMD-Shell and navigate to Office-Programfolder like "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11"):
OUTLOOK.EXE /Cleanprofile
Outlook then starts with a wizard that let's you configure a new or existing Mailfile. Select it as "Standardprofile" and Outlook will start next time as usual.
