Symptom

You need to list the properties of an object

Cause

Needed from time to time

Solution

To list all the properties you can use a variety of commands.Here are a few:

get-wmiobject win32_bios|format-list *

You can also use

get-wmiobject win32_bios|format-list -Property *

or

get-wmiobject win32_bios|get-member

or

get-wmiobject win32_bios|select *

which is the same as:

get-wmiobject win32_bios|Select-Object *

which is also the same as:

get-wmiobject win32_bios|Select-Object -Property *
