LKBEN11194: Howto show the routing table in a debian like system


Symptom

To show the routes in a Debian, Ubuntu, Kubuntu system you need the ip command

Cause

This is by design

Solution

To show your routing table you can use the following command:

ip route show

You will get something like:

93.92.129.192/28 dev eth0  proto kernel  scope link  src 93.92.129.206
192.168.129.0/24 dev eth1  proto kernel  scope link  src 192.168.129.206
172.23.43.0/24 via 192.168.129.194 dev eth1
172.23.41.0/24 via 192.168.129.194 dev eth1
default via 93.92.129.193 dev eth0  metric 100
