Symptom

Open a program in the system tray

Cause

You want ot open a program in the system tray.

Solution

First you have to install the alltray packet. Open a terminal and type: sudo apt-get install alltray

Then hit <alt>+<f2> and type: alltray <name_of_software_to_open> ( the same goes for shortcuts).

This lets you open a program in system tray even if that software does not support it.
