CSS stands for Cascading style sheets.

 

Css is a style sheet language for the presentation of documents. It is used most often with HTML and XML. With cascading style sheets it is possible to declare a different design for different kinds of media (e.g. monitor, paper, speech). There are many options for color and speech as well as the possibility to set backgrounds or the free position of elements.

As far as today CSS is the standard style sheet language for websites.
