LKBEN11057: Howto perform case insensitive searches in vim or vi

You need to search but do not want to search case sensitive
Cause
none
Solution
This can be done by changing the vim settings.
:set ignorecase
Changing back to default can be undone by
:set noignorecase
You can change this setting in your .vimrc for permanent use.
