LKBEN11025: Howto set the timezone from the command line


Symptom

You want to change or set your timezone

Cause

none

Solution

For setting the timezone you use the tzconfig command.

This command should be run as root and should be started without parameters.

tzconfig
Your current time zone is set to Europe/Berlin
Do you want to change that? [n]:
Your time zone will not be changed

For more information you can use man tzconfig.
