LKBEN11018: Howto edit unicode files in linux


Symptom

You need a text editor for the X window system

Cause

UTF8 or UTF16 files are becoming more common

Solution

You can install the Yudit editor for editing unicode files. The main page of the yudit project ist found at http://www.yudit.org/ and is included in most distributions.
