Symptom
Which parameters to use for downloading from a site with username and password authentification.
Cause
This is by design.
Solution
Use the following parameters to download from a http site with username and password.
wget --http-user=username --http-password=mypassword 'http://www.somesite.com/protected/DVD.iso'
For ftp sites you can use the ftp-user and ftp-password parameters.
