LKBEN10837: How to speed up the display of network folders in Windows.

Symptom

--

Cause

Your Windows needs some time to show you all network folders.

Solution

If you have many connected network folders, sometimes it takes a while until the folders are displayed. This may by caused by an undersized buffer. You can increase this buffer by modifying a registry key.

Start Regedit and search for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_CurrentControllSet\Services\\LanmanServer\Parameters". Now you add the registry key "SizeReqBuf" (DWORD) and set a value between 25000 and 65535 (25000 is the recommended value).
