LKBEN10836: How to disable user processes automatically when Windows reboots or is shut down.
Symptom
You need to speed up the shutdown and start
Cause
You want to speed up the reboot of Windows.
Solution
User processes do not end automatically when your system is rebooting or shutdown. Windows is waiting until the processes end and this can take a while. If you want Windows to disable the processes at once you have to modify a registry key.
Start Regedit and search for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\CONTROL PANEL\DESKTOP\Autoendtasks". If you change the value to 1, then all user processes will be terminated at once.
