LKBEN10576: Submit an immediate check for WSUS update per commandline
Symptom
You have to wait quite long before WSUS shows activity
Cause
This is by design. To speed up things WSUS can be used with command line parameters.
Solution
To check for patches without waiting you can use:
wuauclt.exe /detectnow -> this will do a detect for patches
For generating a client report you use:
wuauclt.exe /reportnow -> this will generate a report for the mom server
And some others:
wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow -> this will reset your authorisationwuauclt.exe /DemoUI -> test for your systray
wuauclt.exe /ShowSettingsDialog -> shows the settings dialog
