LKB | Created: 02.04.2020 | Version: 0 | Language: EN | Rating: 0 | Outdated: False | Marked for deletion: False
Author: Wim Peeters - Keskon GmbH & Co. KG
Symptom
Your echos on the screen have no quotation marks around the string
Cause
This is by design. You have to use a special excape sequence to have this functionality
Solution
VBScript uses double quotes and the & operator to concatenate strings. e.g.:
str = "This is a string"
str = "this is a longer" & " string"
If you want to have quotation around the string like "string with quotation" to a variable you can use 2 double quotes.
str = """hello with quotes""" 'return "hello"
You can alos use the chr(34) character
str = chr(34) & " this is between quotes to! " & chr(34)
