LKBEN10964: Howto transfor xml into html with xsltproc and a xsl stylesheet


Symptom

You can hardly view a xml file in a browser, wenn you convert it first it looks much better

Cause

This is by design.

Solution

You can use a xsl or xslt stylesheet to transform xml to native html. This can be viewed easily even with a command line browser like w3m or lynx.

xsltproc lubby.xsl <filename.xml>  > /tmp/testing.html

w3m /tmp/testing.html

or

lynx /tmp/testing.html

You can use any browser to view the resulting file.
