LWE10005 : Clients get an IP address automatically which should not happen.

Symptom:

When a client does not find a DHCP Server, it randomly get an address. This is called APIPA.

Cause:

This is by design but can be deaktivated by a registry key.

Solution:

The following registry key can be set to deactivate APIPA. APIPA stands for Automatic Private IP Addressing. After setting this key, cliens keep their last IP address instead of randomising one.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpipParametersInterfaces{InterfaceGUID}]
"IPAutoConfigurationEnabled"=dword:00000000
