LKBEN10583: Signature in MS Outlook looks different depending on new, forward, answer....
Symptom
Signature format depends on message format - plain text and rtf formats look different than HTML
Cause
New signature is saved as HTML file and automatically converted to rtf and txt formats
Solution
Once you make a new signature in Outlook (Extras --> Options... --> E-Mail Format --> Signatures... ---> New or Edit) it will be saved in your userprofile under C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataMicrosoftSignatures as a HTML file.
Once you select this signature for new Mails and the Mail format is selected "HTML", everything looks neat. When the same signature is selected "for answers and forwarding", it might look horrible in some cases (depending on the format of the original message).
Look under the above folder (C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataMicrosoftSignatures) and you'll find three documents named like your selected signature and ending ".htm", ".rtf" and ".txt". Edit these, make the appropriate changes end the signature in Outlook will look the same.
