LKBEN10714: Howto disable user account control (uac) using msconfig

Symptom

You do not want the extra clicks it needs to configure your system

Cause

none

Solution

Windows Vista has a built-in feature to reduce the potential of attacs to the system. It does this by the User Account Control, also called UAC. This forces the users of the local administrator group to run programs as normal users with no administrative rights.

To disable this feature you can use msconfig, scroll down untill "Disable UAC", click on it and press the Launch button. Please note that you have to reboot your computer before it is active.
