LKBEN10712: Howto disable user account control (uac) using the windows registry
Symptom
You do not want the extra security and the clicks it needs to configure your system
Cause
none
Solution
Windows Vista has a built-in feature to reduce the potential of attacs to the system. It does this by the User Account Control, also called UAC. This forces the users of the local administrator group to run programs as normal users with no administrative rights.
To disable this feature you can run the following command:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k %windir%\System32\reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Do not forget to reboot the system to apply the changes.
