LLE10046 : How do I now which shell is my default shell and active after logon just with echo

Symptom:

You need to know which shell you have per default just with echo

Cause:

none

Solution:

A very easy way to find out which shell you have per default is to run the command:

echo $SHELL

You will find answers like:

/bin/sh

/bin/bash

/bin/ksh

/bin/csh

/bin/tcsh
