LKBEN11171: Howto flush the DNS cache under linux
Symptom
You need to flush your DNS cache because it seems to be changed but your system did not check that yet!
Cause
none
Solution
In lunux the DNS cache is managed by the nscd daemon. You just have to restart this daemon to flush your cache. On most linux operating systems you can use:
/etc/init.d/nscd restart
For a debian system or equivalent I always use the invoke-rc.d command:
invoke-rc.d nscd restart
This will do the job.
