LLE10195 : How to kill a process under Ubuntu.




You want to stop a program in Ubuntu.


You can kill a process by it’s name with the killall command. Open a terminal and type: sudo killall <prog_name>

Or you can kill a program by pid (program id): sudo kill <pid>

Note: How to see the pid: pidof <program name>
