LKBEN11124: How to convert audio files with the Gnome filebrowser Nautilus
Symptom
Some audio file needs to be converted
Cause
You can use Nautilus to convert audio files in a different format.
Solution
You can simply convert audio files in a different file format with Nautilus.
Start the synaptic packetmanager and install the packet "nautilus-script-audio-convert" (universe).
After you have installed the packet you have to register the plugin for Nautilus. Open the Terminal and type "nautilus-script-manager enable ConvertAudioFile" at the command rompt.
If you start Nautilus and select an audio file, only rightclick and choose "Scripts -> ConvertAudioFile". There you can select the appropriate audio format. Supported are the formats mp3, ogg, mpc, aac and wav. You can also select a convenient quality.
