LKBEN11059: Howto do a command on every line in a textfile with bash and a do command


Symptom

You need to do something for every line in a text file with whitespaces.

Cause

none

Solution

The solution from the knowledge base article 15 does not work when you have whitespaces in your file! This solution can loops over every line in the file 'allerrors.txt' and prints them on the screen. 

#/bin/bash
cat allerrors.txt |while read i;
do echo $i;
done
