LKBEN10882: Howto disable and enable the windows lock functionality (windowskey+L)


Symptom

Windowskey+L lockes your computer and you do not want this behaviour

Cause

none

Solution

Open regedit.exe and then browse to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

create a new DWORD 32-bit value named DisableLockWorkstation:

use value 1 to disable Lock Workstation
use value 0 to enable Lock Workstation

You do not need to restart.
