LKBEN10851: You want to start the "Out of Office Assistant" but the following error message displays: "The command is not available..."

Symptom

Error with your out of office assistant.

Cause

Your Outlook "Out of Office Assistant" does not start.

Solution

This error message ("The command is not available. See the program documentation about how to use this extension. ") results from a faulty value of a registry key. The registry key in question is "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft\Office \ 11.0 \ Outlook \ Resiliency".

To solve the problem try the following:
- First close Outlook
- Start Regedit and search for the registry key
- If you have found the key, rename it (e.g. Resiliency.old), then save and exit Regedit.
- Restart Outlook

Now the Out of Office Assistant should succesfully start.
