LKBEN10825: How to quickly disable or enable the Windows XP firewall.


Symptom

You need to disable the Firewall temporarily.

Solution

You can disable or enable the Windows firewall with the following command:

Click start -> run and then type one of the following commands

To enable the firewall: netsh firewall set opmode enable

To disable the firewall: netsh firewall set opmode disable
