Symptom

You need to disable the balloon tips.

Cause

You want to disable the Balloon Tips of your Windows XP.

Solution

To disable the balloon Tips you have to change one registry key.

First start regedit: Start -> run -> regedit

Then search for the follwing entry: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced"

Look for the key "EnableBalloonTips" and change the value from 1 to 0.

Now the Balloon Tips aren't shown any more
