Symptom

You need to restart a server from remote and do not have terminal services active.

Cause

This is by design, windows need a reboot from time to time.

Solution

You can use the shutdown command from a client to restart your server.

shutdown -r -f -c "CU later" -m \servername

If you would like a GUI interface you can use the

shutdown -i

command and will be presented with a nice graphical interface.
