LKBEN11146: Howto find out what kind of webserver is running on a remote system


Symptom

You would like to find out what kind of system a webserver is running on (e.g. apache, Internet Information Server, Sun, PHP, Java, ...)

Cause

none

Solution

There is no utility which gives you all information but with the server spy utility, which is an add-in for firefox, you can have a good guess. This utility will try to recognize the

kind of server serving your session.
