LKBEN10679: Howto activate windows RDP Sessions from remote via commandline without rebooting


Symptom

You need to connect to a server but the terminal services (RDP) are not set. You want to set this quickly.

Cause

This is a very nice script for administrators

Solution

You can use the following command line and execute it. Do not forget to change the servername!

reg add "\\LubbySRV\hklm\software\policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services" /v fDenyTSConnections /t REG_DWORD /d 0

This should work without rebooting the system.
